Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of client referred REO assets, which have been acquired through foreclosure or loss mitigation alternatives. Primary accountability includes the liquidation of assets through aggressive and proactive marketing techniques while mitigating client losses.


The REO Asset Manager’s responsibilities for the coordination of Asset Management are, but not limited to:

  • Primary client contact and ultimate accountability for overall performance of assigned portfolio.
  • Assign, monitor and direct eviction actions on all occupied assets.
  • Coordinate cash-for-keys, early move-out and any other resolutions with Realtor, Attorney and Occupant. Review, identify and resolve title issues.
  • Review all forms of Asset Valuation (BPO, Appraisal, etc) and determine USS Reconciled Market Value.
  • Review R&I bids and prepare R&I analysis to determine “Repaired” vs. “As-Is” sales strategy
  • Prepare REO Marketing Plan and recommend Marketing Strategy for approval.
  • Review agent status reports and update marketing strategy every 30 days.
  • Prepare and recommend list price reductions as needed.
  • Negotiate all offers (highest and best) to client delegated authority. Review Purchase and Sale agreements to ensure terms are define as negotiated. i.e… Price, Concessions, Deposits, Closing Time, Financing Terms, Execution of USS Addendums, etc
  • Responsible for data integrity.
  • Maintain accurate asset status and detained notes on assigned portfolio.
  • Work with Real Estate and Business Development teammates to penetrate and grow market share in specific specialty markets and target accounts.
  • Prepare and send listing referrals to agents.


Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. 5 years experience in loan servicing (preferably in Asset Management) or REO asset liquidation in a multi-state environment with direct responsibility in preparing marketing plans, negotiating offers, reviewing title, eviction and closing management.

  • Knowledge of title / escrow services and practices
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan servicing with an emphasis on real estate sales and law
